Long Live Cinderella
I don’t know about you all, but Oral Roberts became my favorite team in the tournament almost immediately. I’ll be honest, I had no idea who Max Abmas was or that the Oral Roberts offense was one of the best in the country.
They made sure I knew on Day 1 of March Madness.
Ever since about 10 minutes left in their 1st Round matchup with Ohio State, I’ve been an Oral Roberts fan. They play an exciting style of basketball & their star Max Abmas is amazing.
Abmas came into the Tourney as the leading scorer in the COUNTRY. I guess I should have known that but to be honest, I loved being surprised by his performances. If you don’t believe me, just believe the numbers.

Before this March, a fella by the name of Steph Curry was the last college hooper to score 25 points in each of his first 3 NCAA Tournament games. He did it in 2008 & nobody had done it since. Then, Max was introduced to March Madness. They got along just fine.
In his 3 games, Abmas scored 29, 26, & 25. He was a few inches from a buzzer beater 3 to send his squad to the Elite 8. Abmas & Oral Roberts made names for themselves this March.
Unfortunately, we had to say bye to our favorite Cinderella team since Loyola Chicago of 2018. They lost 82-80 to 3rd seeded Arkansas, as they tried to become the first 15 seed to ever reach the Elite 8.
